Ninon's journey through life would see her subjected to school yard bullying, leave home to attend college, eventually take charge of her beloved grandparents farm and then volunteer in the dry heat of Havana. She would encounter a number of vivid characters as she travelled along her chosen paths through life but where would she finally settle and end up calling home?

Sandra Bunting's publications include two books of short fiction, a poetry collection, a non-fiction book besides articles, poems and stories in numerous literary magazines. Sandra is on the editorial board of the Irish-based literary magazine, Crannóg, and worked at NUI Galway where she set up the Academic Writing Centre and taught Creative Writing and TEFL teacher training. Now living in Atlantic Canada , she is a member of The Writers Union of Canada, New Brunswick Writers Federation, Words on Water Miramichi, the Grand Barachois group Women Who Write and the Galway Writers' Workshop.

                                     The Road To Redemption by Pierre C Arseneault

Miles had spend his youth with a invisible target on his back, bullied at school and by his overbearing aunt with whom he had been forced to live with after the death of his parents. When he was younger,he couldn't wait to escape his hometown of Juniper. But after a phone call from his aunt's solicitor, Miles had been forced to return to the place that held so many bad memories reigniting his crippling anxieties and acne. But as Miles finds his thoughts overrun by memories from the past,little does he realise that his aunt's final act of cruelty will actually be the key that sets him free from the pain of the past.

The youngest of eleven children, Pierre C. Arseneault grew up in the small town of Rogersville New Brunswick. As a cartoonist, Pierre was published in over a dozen newspapers. As an author , he has five titles published so far:

                                                            Footfall by Chuck Bowie

This was one of my favourite stories, a gripping, action packed tale of daring do with fights,guns,deception,double crosses and two likeable main characters who may or may not have been able to trust each other when the brown stuff inevitably hits the fan.

Chuck Bowie graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Canada with a Bachelor Degree in Science. His writing is influenced by the study of human nature and how people behave. Chuck loves food, wine, music and travel and all play a role in his work. His publisher has just launched his latest novel, set in Ireland and England, entitled Her Irish Boyfriend, fifth in the international suspense-thriller series : Donovan: Thief For Hire. He has just completed and published the second novel in a new cozy mystery series, set in a fictional town in New Brunswick, and is now finishing the follow-up in this series. - Chuck recently completed tenure on National Council of The Writers' Union of Canada; - Acted as Writer in Residence at Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts, 2019; - Acknowledged as an author of note in the Miramichi Literary Trail installation, 2021.

                                                                Red Stars by S.C.Easton

This is a mesmerising blend of sci-fi and thriller with pages that are permeated with a air of mystery and intrigue and a plot that contains some beautifully described scenes and settings. Although this story is obviously set in a world which is the setting for a series, Red Stars is easy to follow and understand and can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone. This was also one of my favourite stories and I would gladly read more of this author's books in the future.

Steve C. Eston always had a conflicting love for the fantastical and the scientific, which led him to write both fantasy and science-fiction. He has three published books: Deficiency (2020), The Conclave (2018) and The Burden of the Protector (2016). He also has several short stories available for free download on his website.                                           The Bookseller's Secret Octavo by Angela Wren

London based auctioneer Alice Tomlinson finds herself drawn into a world of hidden rooms, secret doors, mysterious outbuildings and suspected forgery after her father Peter summons her to the farmhouse he is renovating in France. As as life long Nancy Drew fanatic,I loved the mystery elements of this story.

Angela Wren is an actor and director at a theatre in Yorkshire, UK. An avid reader, she has always loved stories of any description. She writes the Jacques Forêt crime novels set in France and is a contributing author to the Miss Moonshine anthologies. Her short stories vary between romance, memoir, mystery and historical. Angela has had two one-act plays recorded for local radio.

                                                      The Maze by Monique Thebeau

After the intervention of a kindly school janitor, fourteen year old Jacob Abbey had escaped the clutches of his abusive, alcoholic father and been adopted by Allen Weaver and his wife. Jacob's life was now full of love and laughter but his father wasn't prepared to give up the son (or more importantly,the welfare cheque) that he viewed as his rightful property. The inevitable confrontation happens one intense and flame filled night in the fields that grew near the Weaver's farmhouse. Was Jacob destined for a life of happiness and freedom or will he once again find himself a prisoner of his father's drunken abuse?

                                                     Winter Tar by Jeremy Thomas Gilmer

History is packed full of outbreaks of war, brutality, fear, destruction and the horrific atrocities that man has subjected their fellow human beings to over the decades. This story is set during the Viking era and is the tale of a young man and his fellow villagers struggles to fortify themselves and their village against the advancing ships containing their feared enemies The Tars. The author's descriptions of the setting for his story were so vivid and realistic and the pages of this short story were permeated with the villages feelings of fear and terror. A atmospheric tale with a unpredictable but realistic conclusion when you take into consideration the period of time in which the story is set.

Jeremy Thomas Gilmer is a writer of short fiction and nonfiction. He has been longlisted for the CBC Canada Writes Short Story Prize, won the inaugural Short Story Day Africa Flash Fiction Prize and was selected as the writer-in-residence at the KiRA residency in 2018. Jeremy is the Art and Literature editor-at-large for The East magazine. Gilmer has spent over twenty-five years as an Engineering Consultant on environmental, energy, and mining projects. Born in New Brunswick, Gilmer grew up in Nigeria, Northern Ireland, and Canada and has lived and worked in over forty countries. He splits his time between Eastern Canada and Brazil.

                                               Warriors And Trickery by Allan Hudson

A band of eleven year old friends Ducker (The leader) Mary Ellen (Jellybean) Todd (toad) Frenchy (Donat) and Freddy (Freckles) set out on a adventure that doesn't go quite the way Ducker had planned. The pages of this story were permeated with intensity,atmosphere and a undercurrent of foreboding as the children made their way through the trees towards their destination and then..... Well, you will just have to read the book of you want to know what happened next.

 Allan Hudson was born in Saint John, New Brunswick. Growing up in South Branch he was encouraged to read from an early age by his mother who was a school teacher. He lives in Cocagne with his wife Gloria. He has enjoyed a lifetime of adventure, travel and uses the many experiences as ideas for his writing. He is an author of action/ adventure novels, historical fiction and a short story collection. His short stories – The Ship Breakers & In the Abyss – received Honourable Mention in the New Brunswick Writer's Federation competition.                                                    Path To Nowhere by Angela Cormier

This was my stand out favourite story, the plot contained all the elements that as a reader,I want to find in a thriller. The story was set on a isolated trail in a park,was intense and atmospheric and contained one hell of a unexpected plot twist. I really loved this short story and would happily read more of this author's books in the future.

Angella Cormier grew up in Saint Antoine, a small town in south east New Brunswick, Canada. This is where her love of reading and writing was born. Her curious nature about everything mysterious and paranormal helped carve the inspiration for her passion of writing horror and mystery stories. She is also a published poet, balancing out her writing to express herself in these two very opposing genres.
